The Velvet Treasury
First name, email, optional collecting interests, consent time, consent version and subscribed/unsubscribed status.
A report or enquiry
Information you choose to send to enquires@velvetdirectory.com.au, such as a report or enquiry and its relevant reference or factual details. Do not send card details, passwords or unnecessary sensitive information.
2. Why we use it
We use information to provide accounts, assess listings and offers, manage direct purchases and bookings, respond to safety reports and enquiries, run The Velvet Treasury, prevent misuse, protect the service and meet legal obligations. We use Treasury details for marketing only where the person has joined or another appropriate basis applies.

3. Payments, providers and disclosures
Stripe processes payment-card information for direct purchases and approved deposits. Velvet Directory uses service providers to run the website, support authentication, process payment, host information, provide analytics and, only when connected, send consented email. We do not sell the Velvet Treasury list or give it to another business for independent marketing. The final legal review will name the material providers and address any overseas handling.
4. Treasury emails and unsubscribing
The Velvet Treasury is optional. At present, Velvet Directory records a signup but does not send automated marketing email. Before marketing begins, every message must identify Velvet Directory, include working contact details and offer a clear, free unsubscribe method. Australian ACMA guidance says unsubscribe requests must be honoured within five working days. Read ACMA guidance
5. Access, correction, security and retention
You may ask for access to or correction of your personal information by emailing enquires@velvetdirectory.com.au. Velvet Directory takes reasonable steps to protect information, but no online system can promise absolute security. The final policy will state the specific retention periods, complaint pathway and deletion or de-identification process after legal review.
6. Safety reports and enquiries
For a safety concern or another enquiry, email enquires@velvetdirectory.com.au with the relevant reference and factual details. We use the information you send to respond to the report or enquiry, as described above. Do not send payment-card details, passwords or unnecessary sensitive information. The final reviewed policy will set the retention details and complaint pathway.
7. External links
External links, including eBay, Google Maps and Waze, are governed by their own privacy practices once you leave Velvet Directory.
